Scott was born in Rosario, Argentina in 1963 to Nazarene missionary parents, Don and Lucy Crenshaw.  The family returned to the United States in 1966.  Scott grew up in Kansas and Colorado where his father pastored Nazarene churches.  At the age of five, Scott gave his heart to Jesus in a Sunday evening service in Salina, Kansas.

The Crenshaw family was very musical so Scott grew up being very involved in music both in the school and the church.  During his senior year in high school, Scott felt God’s call to full-time worship ministry and prepared to attend MidAmerica Nazarene University.  While at MidAmerica, Scott met Donna Warner and they married in the summer of 1986.  Scott graduated with a B.A in Church Music and Christian Education in 1987.  Scott and Donna have been partners in ministry all these years serving in associate pastor roles leading worship, youth ministry, small groups and providing pastoral care for churches in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Idaho, and Tennessee.

While serving in St Louis, Missouri, their son, Zachary, was born.  He is a recent graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University with a degree in Information Technology.

While serving in Indiana, Scott completed the requirements for ordination through the Northwest Indiana Ministry Training Center and received his ordination as a Deacon Minister of Music in the spring of 2005.

While serving as Worship and Arts Pastor in Idaho, Scott began to feel a change in His call to a preaching ministry.  In 2014, Scott and Donna accepted the call as associate pastor of Park Lane Church of the Nazarene and began a change in ministry focus.  Soon after arriving at Park Lane, they found themselves in pastoral transition.  During this time, Scott took over the preaching responsibilities for Sunday evening services.  This time of new ministry opportunity and preaching confirmed the call to preach that God was placing on his life.

In the fall of 2015, Scott completed the final course requirement for a change in ordination from Deacon to Elder.  Scott was formally transitioned from Deacon to Elder in the Church of the Nazarene at the MidSouth District Assembly in May of 2016.

Scott and Donna arrived in Oxford in November, 2016 and started their ministry on November 20th.
